10 Affirmations For Black Women

10 affirmations for black women

September 2024 and I can honestly say this year is gonna be the best year of my life!

I’ve never grown as much as I’ve grown in the past 8 months... and I’m speaking mentally, physically and spiritually.

I’ve never known a state of resilience like I know now. Talk about confidence and risk-taking.

I never would have imagined, back in January 2024, when I committed to make this year THE year, that I'd be this far.

But I know I wouldn't be here, right now, in this place, without God!

Man, when I tell you He has come through... He has come through bigger than I ever imagined.

And I know this is just the beginning!

How I got here

How did I get to this place of feeling good about life in brokenness... you might wonder.

Honest truth? I don't know... all I know is that at some point, I was so broken that I decided to seek God. I decided to start a relationship with Him and surrender fully to His will.

I decided to take my healing into my own hands and seek professional help through therapy.

I committed to truly working on myself and trusting that God was with me.

I listened to His voice, through His word and let Him lead me to His truth about my life and why He created me.

I knew I was made for more than pain and suffering... and I had to believe that deep down and feel that truth to my bones.

I started the work.

Truly and intentionally working on healing.

And every day, every moment, I continue to heal and love the process. However painful it might be at times, I force myself to see the beauty of the possibilities ahead.

I visualise the life God has in store for me, and it gives me the drive to keep going, despite the random obstacles.

Affirmations

A key tool that has helped me get here is affirming myself.

Affirmations are so powerful, especially if you repeat them constantly.

I believe in the power of self-affirming so much so, that I’ve taught it to my 11 and 8-year-old kids.

Affirmations will help your subconscious mind to start believing whatever you tell it... making it believe you are worthy of those things you talk about.

I have post-its of these affirmations stuck on my bedroom wall so I see them first and last thing every day. This helps them keep fresh on my mind throughout the day and at night while I sleep.

The Healing

To begin your journey with affirmations, I would advise finding a small notebook or if you journal, write them down every morning.

Repeat this daily without fail, until they get programmed into your mind.

You'll know this when you don't have to see them to recite them.

Here are some of my favourites to get you started;

  1. I attract healing every day

  2. I attract good health

  3. I attract a new mindset

  4. I attract genuine friendships and relationships

  5. I attract true happiness

  6. I attract true, honest love

  7. I attract new opportunities

  8. I attract new energy

  9. I attract financial abundance

  10. I attract everything that's meant for my highest good.

Journaling prompt;

Write down 5 affirmations you can use daily to start feeling worthy of all that you dream of.

Love & light,

Christine
